Hanayama Puzzles with Drawstring Pouches - New in 2022 & 2023

The PLANET Hanayama Puzzle was released in 2022, followed by the TUBE Hanayama Puzzle in 2023. The objective of the PLANET puzzle is to separate the inner sphere from its ring. The sphere has around 18 slightly different sized nubs on its surface, while the inside of the ring is irregular. The key is to twist the ring and sphere in the correct direction to allow them to separate. The TUBE Hanayama Puzzle, on the other hand, is a cylindrical take-apart puzzle where the goal is to unlock/disengage the two inner pieces from the tube.

Both puzzles require a great deal of thinking, planning, and trial and error. Reassembling the puzzles can be just as challenging as taking them apart. Occasionally, someone may accidentally separate the pieces and think they are a genius, but mastering the puzzle means being able to easily disassemble and assemble the pieces with precision. Recommended for ages 13 to 105, no force is ever needed to solve the puzzles as forcing pieces may cause damage.

Each puzzle comes bundled with a Green Velveteen Pouch for storage, measuring approximately 3.25 x 4 inches when laid flat. The puzzles are packaged in a dark green box with a see-through front. PLANET Hanayama is a tricky metal disentanglement puzzle resembling the planet Saturn, with a compact 3D maze design. TUBE Hanayama, meanwhile, is a stickler of a brain teaser with a cast metal disentanglement style puzzle.

PLANET is rated as Level 4 while TUBE is rated as Level 5 on a scale of 1 to 6, with 6 being the most difficult. However, individual experiences may vary. PLANET weighs 3.5 oz and measures approximately 2 x 2 x 1.4 inches, while TUBE weighs 3 oz and measures approximately 1.2 x 1.28 x 1.2 inches. Both puzzles offer a challenging and engaging experience for puzzle enthusiasts of all ages.
